Black Sabbath Reunion

I'm definitely looking forward to hearing what the godfathers of metal are intending to lay down in the studio these days.  I'm one of those guys who DOES NOT think that Zeppelin is the founder of this beloved genre.  To me, Zeppelin is a hard rock band and Sabbath is a metal band.  It's that simple.  Not taking anything away from Zeppelin, obviously.  They were an awesome and unique band.
This said, there are two very sad pieces of news attached to Sabbath's present: Tony's illness and Bill's exclusion from the band, for now.  Ward has said that he was not offered respectable terms for joining the band on this latest push.   This surprises me.  I never viewed Sabbath as a band run by a Kiss-like "Gene and Paul" combo.  Aside from Sabbath's understandable separations from Ozzy, I always thought Sabbath was an "all-for-one-one-for-all" outfit.

Until recently, the questions -- related to age -- that I've asked of myself have been focused on myself.  Have I accomplished what I thought I would by this time?  Am I at the right point spiritually and mentally?
But something has changed in the later half of my thirties.  I find myself focused on what I  can offer others and not on what I can offer myself.  My thinking has become more universal, more altrusitic, more informed by what actually matters in life and what we're really here to do and be for one another.
I say all this to preface my disgust with the latest musical and solo offering from Vince of Motley Crue, "Tattoos [...]
